Here are a few tunes that I’ve been listening to while working through Jovino’s class on the choro. I’d never heard of it, so it’s been fun learning about the form and its historical context. A key feature is the “fork.” Applying it to the 251 and 2516 progressions offers a great way to revisit the Circle of Fifths. The class covers two tunes, “Vou Vivendo” and “Falando de Amor.” The first three clips are of these tunes.
