I thought I’d share a recent 60 Minutes interview with Hans Zimmer. His joy and enthusiasm for music are infectious. And for those of you who work with DAWs, your eyes will get big when you see his setup.
I was especially curious about the notation software he’s using at around 10:57. Logic shows what’s been recorded, as I’m sure most DAWs do. But here it seems to be writing the notation on a full screen as he plays.
I know he works with Steinberg Cubase and Pro Tools. Do one of those offer the above-mentioned feature? At any rate, enjoy!
