This month I focused on completing Eb section of the Lead-sheets fundamentals course with Over Rainbow. I hoped for a better result but I found this more difficult than I anticipated. It was, however, another excellent lesson on improving my left hand rhythm with the 1-5-3 roll. I also worked on adding an intro as suggested by Hayden in one of his seminars on the 1625 turnaround. I couldn’t connect the two without sounding disconnected so I left it out. I do understand the concept and theory and hope to use it somewhere soon. It was a productive month for me so I’m moving on to the next course on Modulations. Thanks for watching.

Hi Ivan,
I’m brand new to PianoGroove, and while browsing through the community posts I stumbled across your August 2025 performance of Over the Rainbow.
I actually found PianoGroove after ChatGPT recommended it when I was looking for a course that I could really connect with. I thought I’d struck gold when I joined, but then I watched your performance and it completely confirmed I’d made the right choice.
The style, expression, and musicality you brought to the piece are exactly what I’d love to be able to play one day. If, with time and plenty of practice, I can reach anything close to the level you’ve shown in that video, I’ll consider myself a very happy man.
Thank you for taking the time to share your performance with the community. It’s genuinely inspiring for those of us who are just starting out, and you’ve given me even more motivation to keep practising.
