If there are any specific tunes/jazz standards you’d like me to cover just let me know and I’ll try my best to incorporate them :sunglasses: :+1:

Hi @Hayden

Thank you for this kind offer!! Basically, I’m falling in love with just about every standard you have called our attention to…thanks! What You Are Doing the Rest of Your Life is one that has been noodling in my mind for years and I could have sworn it was a Brazilian song…it’s the most Brazilian non-Brazilian tune that comes to mind  …and penned by Legrand who wrote “Summer of 42 (The Summer Knows)”, arguably my favorite non-Jazz ballad! Have you played this non-Jazz ballad before? If so, please grace us with a slice of it sometime…wonder how it would sound with the 3-note spread voicing style/technique.

A seminar-related question. I am starting to prepare for these seminars and wanted to check with you whether the list of 3 Related Seminars is specifically picked by you or generated algorithmically by the system based on commonality of tags, etc. If the latter is the case, which is fine, are there any additional videos/lessons you would like to suggest?

Thanks!

Hi @Nivaldo

Thanks for this suggestion.

I’m not familiar with “Summer of 42” so I will check it out and try to incorporate this into a lesson or seminar.

I’m a big fan of Michel Legrand’s compositions in general. They are usually quite challenging to play, but have very beautiful harmonies.

Yes the “related seminars” are generated automatically based on common tags.

For related lessons on fills and runs, I’d recommend these 3 courses:

For the improv-focused seminar at the end of the month, I’m aiming to have launched a new course in tandem with the seminar date.

More details to follow.

Cheers,
Hayden
