I’ve looked high & low for any clues to locate the ‘lite up’ software you use for lessons. This reveals the notes on the midi keyboard you are playing for us subscribers to seen on our screen.
I thought this community had a link to such software, but that is a few years ago (in my minds eye).
anyway if you can point me in the directions of that lite up software please do.
Yes the light up midi keyboard software we use is called Midiculous, you can find it here:
There are various versions of the software. The free version will allow you to connect your keyboard and the keys will light up as you play.
If you want to import a MIDI file for playback, you will need the “Midiculous 4 Player Expansion”.
Typically when I create a lesson/performance, I record the lesson or performance in Midi format in Logic, and then import the Midi file into the Midiculous player and screen capture the playback.
Finally the “Pro Expansion” gives you a few more features which allow you to customise how the player looks, and the number of keys shown on the keyboard (88, 61, 49).
