Tamir Hendelman is my very favorite jazz pianist.
I live near Seattle and whenever I can (definitely not now) I travel up and down the US West Coast to hear him play.
Here are 2 samples of his playing. (He wrote the first.)
He has toured the US, Europe, Israel and Japan with the Tamir Hendelman Trio, is a long-time member of the Jeff Hamilton Trio and Clayton-Hamilton Jazz Orchestra and has recorded/toured/arranged for artists such as Natalie Cole, Barbra Streisand, Roberta Gambarini, Houston Person, Graham Dechter, Tierney Sutton, Richard Galliano, Claudio Roditi, Scott Hamilton and Sean Jones.
He is now doing Saturday evening concerts from his home on Zoom. Tickets are $20 and well worth it.
May and June include tributes to Miles Davis, Kenny Barron, Joao Gilberto, Chick Corea and more.
This Saturday (May 30) is Miles Davis.
The music set will start at 6pm.
TICKETS at paypal.me/tamirhendelman1 are $20.
Please include your email address and concert date in the note and
you will receive an email with instructions and a private zoom link within a day, and a reminder the day of the show.
