A while back, I shared some information about the Rhodes V8 Pro plugin. In the last few days, Rhodes has dropped a new plugin, Anthology. It is a sampled version of four of its best versions of the Rhodes—Rhodes MK1 Stage 73 (1976), Sparkletop 73 (1965), Rhodes MKV 73 (1984) and Rhodes MK7 73 (2010).
The V8 Pro is the far more versatile option, while Anthology is a solid, beautiful choice. Price has been the most obvious difference. Before the V8 Pro was $299, while Anthology was listed at $149.00. Right now, you can find the V8 Pro for $119.00, and Anthology for $99.00. I’d say the extra $20 is worth it.

At any rate, cheers and Happy Thanksgiving for those of you in the US.
You can review an earlier PianoGroove post on the V8 Pro. Here’s one of many on Anthology. Enjoy!
